Chicharito helps United to register their first win in Spain after 8.5 years! (VIDEO)

Berbatov was the lone striker until Chicharito "Javier Hernandez" came off the bench and scored the vital goal!
Valencia CF 0-1 Manchester United
They say everything is decided in the last 5 minutes of a Champions League fixture. This statement held true tonight as United registered their first victory in Spain by defeating a tough Valencia squad after 8 and a half long years!

Thanks to Javier Hernadez "Chicharito" whose 86th minute goal secured a tough victory over the La Liga's current No.1 ranked team - Valenica.

United were without Rooney, Giggs and Scholes tonight. Dimitar Berbatov was the only striker up front and was rarely seen in the whole game. He only got 1 opportunity to score and he missed it. Michael Carrick took on the central midfield role and Anderson made a comeback as well. Both seemed well fit. In defence, Rio Ferdinand played full 90 minutes and seemed in good touch.

Chicharito came on for Anderson in the final third of the 2nd half and Berbatov made way for Italian Federico Macheda afterwards. Soon after coming on the pitch, Macheda delivered a lovely pass to Chicharito who scored from an excellent finishing.

The Valencia manager Unar Emery, who is the 2nd youngest manager in Champions League season, kept himself busy by constantly moving his arms and offering help to his players.

All hail Chicharito - the awesome Mexican striker!

Rooney and Giggs to stay back in England as United fly to Spain tomorrow.

Rooney and Giggs will have to watch United's Champions League display from their TV screens as both are injured!

Rooney was supposed to recover from his minor ankle injury (as Sir Alex said) but it seems that the injury is quite serious as it looked earlier. Giggs's hamstring problem is quite serious on the other hand and is sidelined for at least 2-3 weeks.

United face Valencia, who devastated the Turkish Champions Bursapor 4-0 2 weeks back) on Wednesday - 29/09/2010 in a Champions League clash.

Match 6: United lose away as Giggs is ruled out for 2-3 weeks

Manchester United suffered another away defeat today as they gave away 2 crucial points which could have decreased the gap between themselves and Chelsea.

Also, Ryan Giggs suffered a hamstring injury and is expected to miss the Champions League game away against Valencia CF.

Rooney also suffered a minor ankle injury and was replaced by Federico Macheda. Both Rooney and Ferdinand are expected to return against Valencia though.

A tribute to Peter Schmeichel

The only goalkeeper I've known who loves scoring goals (scored 11 in his career) and is also the only one to be caught off-side!!
The name is Peter Schmeichel. He's a 46 year Danish guy who used to play for Manchester United. During the era he spent at United, he was caught offside but scored a lovely overhead goal. Check it out!!!

Defeat at Eastlands means Chelsea fail their first test of the campaign!

Captain Tevez still plays for United, Thank you Carlos!
Carlos Tevez's second half solo effort ended Chelsea's 100% start to the season in a 1-0 defeat at Eastlands. This news is a big boost for United's title hopes. This was the first real test for Chelsea and they failed it!

Sir Alex wants Giggs to be knighted!

What you waiting for Queen?
Following the petition launched by Manchester United fans in April, 2009 Sir Alex has hinted that Ryan Giggs should be the next United player to be knighted.

The Knighthood petition, which attracted 5000 petitions on the first day itself, can be found by clicking here.

Sir Alex said to the press "How I would love to adorn my teamsheet with the words 'Sir Ryan Giggs'."

United team saw a complete change from who featured at Old Trafford against Liverpool and it all worked out well as they demolished the Lincolnshire team 5 goals to 2 as they march on to 4th round of Carling Cup.

Van Der Sar's incredible form can be damaging for Red Devils!

The Dutch and the Pole don't get along very well, sad for United. Keeper crisis!
The cold war between Netherland's Van Der Sar and Polish keeper Tomasz Kuszczak can be very damaging for United. Both do not get along very well which may well result in Tomasz hanging his boots early next year!

What's Eating Sir Alex ?

Fabio
Rafael
Can you Spot the difference?

Sir Alex is in a rather funny kind of dilemma these days. The reason is Rafael Da Silva's marriage. Now why would Da Silva's marriage would bring Sir Alex in tension when he is known for his blessings to the players who want to settle down!

The answer lies in the fact that Rafael has an identical twin, Fabio. Although, the siblings have been there with Fergie since more than four years, still its pretty easy to fail to differentiate!

CR7 wants to come back to Manchester United? Homer would love it!!

God! what a personality he is!
Cristiano Ronaldo is sick and tired of Real Madrid already, he is not finding the end of the net often and he may move back to Manchester United next Summer.

Owen Hargreaves update: Refreshed prospects for a come-back

Injured Manchester United star midfielder Owen Hargreaves has returned to England after spending six weeks in Vancouver on a rehabilitation program supervised by renowned physiotherapist Alex McKechnie.

The 29-year-old Calgary-born Hargreaves - an English international - has seen very little action the past two years as he tries to recover from career-threatening tendinitis problems in his knees. McKechnie confirmed his recent work with Hargreaves in an interview Monday from Los Angeles, where the Vancouver-based core training expert works as athletic performance coordinator for the Los Angeles Lakers. He said he and Hargreaves left Vancouver this past weekend.

Sir Alex's arrogance costs United money! Sir Alex said Fernando Torres is a cheat to get O'Shea sent off

All hail Dimitar Berbatov - the awesome Bulgarian Striker who rescued Manchester United from a yet another heart-throbbing Manchester - Liverpool derby. This one was one of the finest. Dimitar Berbatov's goals against Liverpool shall be remembered till this world ends. They were absolute stunners. Especially the second over-head goal which was absolute beauty! It relived all those Eric Cantano (the famous French striker who also featured in the film - "Looking for Eric") days which were filled with a surprise sense of play. Berbatov's game today can be compared to all those legends who spent their days at Old Trafford - Sir Matt Busby, Sir Bobby Charlton, George Best, Sir Ryan Giggs.... now may I introduce - Sir Dimitar Berbatov...

Tribute to Dimitar Berbatov

It can be fully agreed that the second goal was one of the best one has ever witnessed in the history of football. The second was a blind goal with marvellous sense of class and perfection. It was the DIMITAR BERBATOV's goal. The goalkeeper Pepe Reina didn't get a chance to move. There was a sudden roar in the stadium after that goal - one could have anticipated the hat-trick goal as well sometime soon. Thanks to John O'Shea, who was otherwise sluggish in the whole game and produced a silly 2nd goal opportunity for Liverpool, for the lovely cross right in front of Dimitar Berbatov. Dimitar fired his 3rd which meant United were in front. This hat-trick was the first one in a Liverpool-Manchester derby in 64 years since 1946. Only magicians like Dimitar berbatov can do this job and he's no less than a Karate Kid. It was a very athletic over-head kick which landed perfectly in the net, a goal Yoga masters around the world would be very happy of. This is to say the least - the Bulgarian really puts in a lot of effort.

The crowd gave a standing applause to the Bulgarian - he had closed his eyes as if he was still dreaming. It's a dream come true for him. He's done something none other player could achieve in over 6 decades! Dimitar Berbatov is the name, remember it! Today's goal were every penny of the massive £30 million spent on him 2 years ago to buy him from Tottenham Hotspurs where he scored many such similar Hat-tricks.

Berbatov's second goal was the pick of the scoring, an overhead kick which went in off the bar, and after the Bulgarian had become the first United player to score a hat-trick against Liverpool in more than 60 years, Ferguson added on Sky Sports: "It was unexpected, a surprise attempt. Not many of those go in the net but fortunately it did this time.

Match Review
Apart from Berbatov's impressive hat-trick the game was equally poised. Both teams played well but thanks to Dimitar for producing United with regular break throughs.. United started off with numerous corner kicks,  in fact the first goal came from the 7th corner kick in the first half right before the half time at 42'.

The match was full of dirty tackles, a few injuries to Ryan Giggs and Luis Nani who were substituted later on. Nani's performance was brilliant. His strike came in the 56th minute which got hit on the woodwork from the edge of the bos. It was a yet another superb hit from the Portugese. There plenty of yellow cards for United. Rooney, John O'Shea, Evans. For liverpool it was N'Gog who had a striker's chellenge at Darren Fletcher.

From Liverpol's end it was only Steven Gerrards who scored from two set-pieces, thanks to Darren Fletcher for moving away from the wall and inviting Gerrard - the Liverpool demon, to make it 2-2. It was a mesmirizing moment for the sparkling Liverpool.

Desperate situations need desperate measures! United were on full attack. Rooney did a marvellous job in stretching the play to the wings, but it was Dimitar Berbatov who scored a fantastic hat-trick goal from the his 2nd header of the game. The winning goal came in the 84th minute and Old Trafford was buzzing.
Evans gave away a silly penalty! Will he learn?

Ryan Giggs picked up a minor hamstring injury and had to be substituted for late winning striker - Federico Macheda. Anderson came on for his Portugese counterpart- Nani and and Darron Gibson - the awesome Irish "shooter" came on for the hat-trick hero.

Player ratings
Van Der Sar 6 - litte he could do really
Evra - 7.5 - good dribbling and defending
Vidic - 9  - avoided the "Liverpool scare" and did marvellous defending. CAPTAIN! Maintained his strong siberian character.
Evans - 4 - Johnny needs to learn. He can't give away penalties like this. Wake up Johny!
O Shea - 7- despite the poor free-kick give away to Torres, did well with lovely crossing
Fletcher - 6 - average
Scholes - 5.5 - below average
Nani - 7 - super wing display
Giggs - 6.5 - looked just fine, not the best
Rooney - 6.5 - Is he really a striker? Rooney was a shadow of his own reflection, was literally dead. Rooney only long and short passes with no effort to score goals for Manchester United. Rooney is not scoring goals!
Berbatov - 10 - AWESOME! He has started to score goals for Manchester United. Scored 3 goals today against Liverpool. Deserves to be Man of the Match. This was his 7th goal of the season. His performance is on the rise after he quit from the Bulgaria national team.

Clash of the Titans(or is it?)

Epic Game on Sunday 19/09/2010. Manchester United vs Liverpool, Old Trafford

On Sunday, one would witness one of the most popular competetions of Club Football, Manchester United v/s Liverpool. These two have been tough rivals ever since Sun is rising from the east! Although Liverpool FC have not been up to their standards for the past few years, but still this clash is still highly anticipated worldwide. The players of each team are also instructed to give their best at the prestigious moment.

Joe Cole snubbed Mancheste United for Liverpool, fool?
High expectations always become higher with controversies! This time too, we have one. England midfielder Cole became one of the most high-profile free agents of recent years when he was not offered a new contract by Chelsea at the end of last season. At one time Manchester United were favorites to net him. However, he signed a four year contract with Liverpool which led to Sir Alex claiming the dealings could have been 'complicated'. Now, with Cole already named in the squad which would charge against United tomorrow, the fixture becomes all the more interesting.

United and Scottish Midfielder Darren Fletcher has insisted that the team needs to showcase their 'killer instinct' against their arch-rivals. Expressing concern over the below average performances of his team lately, Fletcher was quoted by The Mirror as, "What we’re missing just now is the killer instinct, we need to change that."

Meanwhile, all-time great Paul Scholes insisted that the Manchester United and Liverpool rivalry would never end, but would grow with each passing year. "Liverpool did not have a great season last year but whenever you play them it is still a massive game.", said Scholes.

With no major changes in the team as such, Ferguson has claimed that Berbatov would be back for the game and Vidic would resume the captaincy!
Once linked with Barcelona FC, now the present captain of Manchester United FC

TheReDevilSpot predicts a 3-0 victory for Manchester United and hopes for it too!!

We Are Eleven: FIFA 11

Since a few years, when the year is nearing its end, people set aside their Christmas Preparations and rush to get a hand on the latest version of the EA SPORTS FIFA Series. This year the legendary game creators promise to break more paths and the latest trailer of the 18th edition also seems to tell the same!

EA SPORTS FIFA 11 gives players new levels of control to experience the beautiful game like never before.
FIFA 11 reinvents player authenticity – on and off the ball – for every player and at every position on the pitch with Personality+, an all-new feature that sees individual abilities reflected in game, enabling clear differentiation for every player.
FIFA 11 introduces new Pro Passing where pass accuracy is determined by a gamer’s ability on the control pad, and player skill, situation and urgency on the pitch, yielding a deeply rewarding passing system. Poor decisions or over/under striking the ball will mean error-prone outcomes. New types of passes such as swerve passes will enable players to make a safer and more effective play.
If you liked the Pro Mode and I am sure each one of you would have Manager Mode as their favorite, here is more news for you. "Be a Pro Mode" and "Manager Mode" have been merged into the new "Career Mode", where the player can choose to be a player, manager, or player-manager for over 15 seasons.

Many improvements have been made to Career Mode, one being that when signing new players, the user will have to agree to a transfer fee with the club, as well as other personal demands from the player; the club could also agree a fee with two teams for a player. The board of a club can decide to give the manager a contract extension or not; this will depend on certain objectives being met, or if they feel that the user have potential as a manager. The manager reputation rating is still in the game and will go up or down depending on your efforts. Regular emails will appear from the coach telling the user about player growth, and if a player is gaining or losing overall rating, the coach will also tell the user about players that are hitting form and will suggest the user include them in the starting line up for the next match, or give them a little more responsibility. On the player growth screen, the user will also get comments from the coach, such as “Has reached his potential," "Isn’t going to grow anymore,” or “Could develop quickly if given game time."

A new budget allocator has also been implemented, where the player can adjust the slider to whatever they desire, whether it will be a 80/20 split with £50 million to spend and £200K wage budget, or a 60/40 split, where that may be £40 million to spend and £250K wage budget. This gives some flexibility if the user is trying to buy specific players but doesn't have the wages to cover it, or doesn't need the wages and wants more free cash. There is a limit, however; when doing this, the user will get the notification that this is only available three times, so the player must make their decisions wisely.
The DEMO is already out on 16/09/2010, and the full version would be out on 1st October for PC, DS, Xbox, PS while for Wii it would be out on 3rd October!
So grab your glorious copy very soon!

Many great people assosiated with Manchester United have greatly admired the new awesome away kit for the Red Devils.. Its a very ingenous kind of a shirt - some people say its a rather simple one but many have also said its a very retro tee-shirt with a lot of old-fashioned and new looks involved.

Luis Nani has spoken greatly in praise of the new t-shirt - the red portion on the shoulders makes it look new fashioned. Otherwise if one looks at it, it will appear to be a rather simple shirt. Well that's what Manchester United is all about - the Red Devils do not like to prefer to win trophies wearing gold do they?

In every Manchester United Red Devil fan's mind, this t-shirt should appear as a chance to believe in purity and this is precisely the key to win trophies. At manchester united, which is such a strict club under the presence of All-time great Sir Alex Ferguson. Glory Glory Manchester United.

Strange :The new Manchester United kit            Kuyt in the new Liverpool kit            and Van Der Sar's kit last year

Surprisingly, the new away kit for Manchester United for the latest season 2010-2011 is quite similar to the Liverpool's away shirt which was released to the public on 8th of July. Unlike Manchester Untied they released their shirt 2 months and 11 days in advance! The Manchester United away kit was released on Saturday 18/09/2010 the day before Liverpool comes to Old Trafford for a grill, hope the weather is good. Also both these kits have a weird similarity to United's goalie kit for hte last year. Of course this year's theme is the tiger and the purple coloured.

Valencia's injury sidelines him for 5 months

The injury of the awesome right winger-  Antonio Valencia took place on 14th September, 2010; the D-Day for the Ecuadorian.

The immediate response of the injury was that it will keep Valencia on sidelines for the whole season if not more. After the surgery, which took place on 15th September, 2010 that is Wednesday, Manchester United has learnt that the injury is not as bad as previously known. Antonio Valencia "Tono" as his beloved Ecuodarian fans call him, is expected to make a recovery by February, 2010.

Antonio Valencia suffered a horrific injury. In the picture above, Chicharito is shown praying to the almighty before his debut kick off at Old Trafford.

It seems that God has heard all our Manchester United fantatic fans's request. Valencia IS making a speedy recovery. If things keep going on good for Tono, he may soon be making his comeback next year! Sir Alex Ferguson today (17/09/2010) said in a press conference at Carrington, that Antonio Valencia has had a successful ankle operation. A metal plate has been inserted in the ankle region and doctors are very happy with the way things are going on. Sir Alex also said it was a massive blow to his squad with a very important Liverpool game coming up on the weekend. Tono shall definitely be missed. Hope he comes on the scene very quickly.

Let's all cheer up and anticipate the winger's quick return.

Now that Antonio Valencia is injured till February, would Bebe fill the void? VIDEO will tell why he will!

Bebe: Earlier and NOW (on RIght) Plenty has changed over a few weeks and Bebe looks a tough man.. He scored against Macedonia U-21 with Portugal U-21 and had a fine time with the Reserves team yesterday.

It was a tough start to Bebe's career with the Manchester United's reserve team last night against Aston Villa as the game ended in a dissapointing defeat.

BEBE REVIEWED

Bebe's reserves Debut against Aston Villa, Match Highlights, 4-1 defeat.

The £7m signing from Portugal played the whole game in a devastating 4-1 defeat against a strong team in the reserves academy. I judged him inside out, he looks terrific but not quite ready for the first team yet. He was a nightmare for the defenders, crossing the ball really superbly.

Gabriel Obertan played on the other wing and Bebe on the right wing - typical Antonio Valencia position or would say Sir Ryan Gigg's spot! He was really awesome with his feet, was able to confuse the defenders very elegantly. I loved the dribbling - simply awesome.

The energy he showed in his crosses was fabulous, the only one thing I am worried about at the moment is the shot accuracy and his stamina. Hope he lives upto his hype. Other than that, a fine possessor of the football, he really owns the skills of a famous footballer - the style.

I reckon he will fill in the void of Antonio Valencia easily, if he keeps doing it till the end of the season for United, he may as well be considered Manchester United's another Cristiano Ronaldo. They are both Portugese after all! I don't know how Portugese are taught football in their country but I sincerely love it. First ronaldo, then Nani and now Bebe? Will United find a great player in him after giving him chances in the upcoming games? Time will tell... But here at TheReDevilSpot, we wish the lad all the best, hope he makes the most of his limited chances at Old Trafford and at the same time impress millions of Manchester United fans and Manchester United haters.

I'd like to rate his performance a nice 8/10 for the Thursday night. Let's hope he keeps on delivering it.

The Portugese who once had a dreadlock had to suffer a warning from Sir Alex over the allowed haircuts at Old Trafford, mind you Sir Alex is pretty damn strict over the player's dressing sense and hair cuts. Bebe recently scored against Macedonia U-21, by a rather fluke goal. The ball literally went in between the legs of the goalie from outside the penalty box

The lad has had an extra-ordinary footballing time in Portugal but living on streets has hit him like anything..

Now that he's at Old Trafford, he's at the theatre of dreams! The portugese has every opportunity to become someone everyone would know. He can now his dream - to become a rocking footballer.

Now that the Ecuadorean - Antonio Valencia is injured till February 2010 (Manchester United confirmed today), Sir Alex will obviously look for other players to fill the void. The options he would have are 1) Gabriel Obertan 2) Cleverley (when he comes back from Newcastle United) 3) Nani 4) Park 5) Giggs - he can move around..  But in my opinion Obertan and Bebe are supposed to fill the void.

The portugese would not be offered this place easily. He has to show he is fit, has the right state of  mind and most importantly has the stamina to stay on for 90 minutes!
Yo, I will sort out my dreadlock but can you hear me Sir Alex?

16 September 2010

Guess who is up for the post of Manager at Old Trafford?

Sir Alex Ferguson has strongly disapproved any attempt by the Football Association of Wales to approach Ryan Giggs into taking over from John Toshack as the National Team Manager.

Giggs was echoed as the favorite for the job, ever since the departure of Toshack was still a rumour!
But the question arises why is Ferguson blocking these attempts ?

And the answer is quite clear, HE WANTS GIGGS TO BE THE NEXT MANAGER!

Last season there were high speculations that Jose Mourinho would be the next manager due toh his healthy relations with Sir Alex and his high rate of success, but Mourinho's frequency of shifting clubs didn't sound good to Fergie.

Moreover Ryan Giggs has given his whole life, sparkling with a bright career to the Red Devils. Therefore he stands with a bright chance of becoming the manager of his beloved team!

What do you fans out there think about it?
