Villarreal's Diego Lopez linked with Manchester United

If the Red Devils are looking for a new 'keeper, it may not take much to convince the Spanish glovesman to swap the Primera Division for Old Trafford.

Lopez revealed that he is tempted by a move to England after hearing about the rumours linking him with a transfer from Villareal to Manchester.

The 27-year-old goalkeeper is the subject of reports suggesting that Sir Alex Ferguson is weighing up a bid to land him at the end of the current campaign.

Manchester United are keen to find a top level replacement for Edwin van der Sar and the Spanish custodian has been on their list of possibilities for some time.

If the Red Devils did make a move then Lopez has made it clear that he would have to consider his options as he finds playing in England an exciting proposition.

"I'm aware of rumours and the Premier League is very attractive," The Sun quoted him as saying.

Lopez is a product of the Real Madrid youth ranks and has become Villarreal's first choice 'keeper after opting to move to El Madrigal for around €6 million in 2007.

His form for the Yellow Submarine saw him called into the Spain squad in August, when he was awarded with his first cap.

We certainly need a replacement for the present veteran Keeper who has nearly declared that he won't be available for service for more than this season. It is most likely that United will either buy Lopez or Igor Akinfeev (CSKA Moscow Keeper who frustrated United to the core in the last UEFA encounter in Russia)

GLORY GLORY MAN UNITED!
