Emmanuel Adebayor will miss Sunday's Manchester derby at Old Trafford after Manchester City
Adebayor has accepted a three-match suspension, which will commence with the United game this weekend, after pleading guilty to the violent conduct charge brought as a result of his foul on Robin van Persie, which left the Dutch forward with facial injuries, during City's 4-2 victory last Saturday.
A club statement said: "Manchester City announce that both the club and Emmanuel Adebayor have reluctantly accepted the violent conduct charge laid by the Football Association in the wake of the victory over Arsenal.
"The player strongly maintains that he did not intend to act in a violent manner. He apologised on the day to Robin van Persie personally and to the wider public for the outcome of the challenge.
Robinho, Tevez and now Adebayor are not available for the Derby clash. This means that United have now an edge over City.

It matters a lot Santa Cruz is already missing so Bellamy will have to play upfront with Ireland supporting with less threatening back up so it brightens up United's chances . hope Carrick starts to find his defence splitting passes. It shud be Rooney, Owen , Park , Fletcher, Carrick, Valencia, Rio , Vidic, Evra, Brown/ O Shea , Foster. No Berbatov in big games he is good only for the weaker teams
haha.. really liked ur last line.. berbatov really is one of the weakest strikers, united has ever had.. he needs to improve drastically this season... I hope Owen starts with Rooney...
