Tom CLEVERLY strikes again!

While Berba's foot is constantly kicking the rival's glory, our secret weapon , Tom Cleverly is doing the same for his present club. He has scored 3 goals already for Wigan Athletic, where he is on a loan. Sir Alex has hinted that he would be back at Old Trafford the next transfer season. We can already see the devastation of the other clubs as Manchester United would ease themselves to the Premier League title and lets hope for the Champions League Trophy too!

Last week we heard rumours that Cleverley may not be interested in returning to Old Trafford where he will face some serious competition for the first team play and would have to struggle in the Reserves.
But performances and goals like these will force Sir Alex Ferguson to play the lad every single game and against every other club!
Meanwhile, Danny Welbeck, who is off to Sunderland on loan is also in terrific form with 5 goals so far. So lots and lots of potential waiting to be associated with the Red Devils!

Let's hope both Cleverley and Welbeck return to Old Trafford next week when the transfer window re-opens.

Danny Welbeck continues to lure Steve Bruce to sign him permanently

Danny Welbeck is an asset for Sunderland, he recently scored against Chelsea. And if you thought that was a fluke, then get ready to change your views

Will he consider Permanent offer at Sunderland?

Sunderland 2-2 Everton
Both Sunderland goals were scored by Danny Welbeck, the Manchester United loanee doing a great job at Sunderland right now. The second goal, a header reminded me of Chicharito's first goal against Sunderland (Back Header). This one was from a greater distance and oh my, what accuracy!

Here is Welbeck's two goals (brace) against Everton

Great job Danny Welbeck! You're doing a great job, just come back to United and emulate your superb form for the Red Devils - You are the future!

Till Danny returns back (hopefully in Summer 2011) sing aloud GLORY GLORY MAN UNITED!

United haven't started THAT bad this season

Manchester United continue their undefeated run in the premier league after their 7th draw this season at Aston Villa on Saturday and oh boy, what a game of football it was! However, the worrying sign is they've had a really poor form away from home this season drawing 6 of their away Games (at Fulham, Everton, Bolton Sunderland, City and Villa) which means they've dropped 14 points. Ugly! Looking at a brighter side, United are yet to lose in the 13 games they've played in the Premier League so far and just when they looked to lose at the Villa park, they roared back with 2 goals and earned a valuable point. That's truely Manchester United for you!

Meanwhile, Chelsea were epic-ly crushed by Sunderland at Stamford Bridge on Sunday with a final score of 3-0. On loan at Sunderland at the moment, Danny Welbeck scored the 3rd goal in the 86th minute and it was quite a cool finish. Check out Danny Welbeck's goal against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge

Gabriel Obertan's only goal for Manchester United

The goal came against Philadelphia Union when Manchester United took on the Philly rivals in Philadelpha.

FT: Manchester United 1-0 Philadelphia Union

Teriffic goal celebration!

Gabriel Obertan was the only player to score that night, thanks to a neat assist by young English striker Danny Welbeck.

Gabriel Obertan's celebration after the goal was quite fantastic. Is he not ready for the first team yet? To me he looks quite a nice winger with a great running ability. This guy can actually take on defenders and rip a defence apart. He may be suitable as a Giggs substitute. Or Perhaps Danny Welbeck, Tom Cleverley or Bebe can do the job too.

United players make the most of the International duty. (VIDEOS)

It was a healthy and profitable international break for the United players as 3 out of 7 players scored. One of them didn't score once but twice and had enough chances to make it 4 or 5 goals!

All the United players, including Wayne Rooney, are back to training at Carrington, looking forward to the tough away fixture to the Toffees. Danny Welbeck scored twice with the U-21 as England demolished Lithuania 3-0. According to reports, Danny ran very fast and seemed to have a great control over the ball. He failed many easy chances to goals but managed to score twice too.

Javier Hernandez represented Mexico against Columbia and Ecuador in a span of 4 days. He managed to score against Ecuador. The kind of finish he delivered reminded me of Michael Owen's young days. Of course the only thing Owen lacks now is the pace which Chicharito does have - he was the fastest player at the WC2010!

Wayne Rooney opened his international goal account finally after a year and horrendous 4 WC games.

Darron Gibson and Darren Fletcher are back from international duties from Ireland and Scotland respectively. Fletcher celebrated his 50th Scottish cap. Congratulations to him!

Valencia represented Ecuador and is in fine touch whereas Corry Evans scored his first goal for Ireland.

All in all, it was a great outing for all the United players who went out for the international duty. Let's hope they carry on with this form in the upcoming game against Everton on 11th September (11/09/2010). The game will be LIVE on ESPN, preview, review, pictures and videos will be up on the blog shortly!

Manchester United vs Celtic Match Review + HD Highlights

Dimitar Berbatov was a revelation at the Celtic game

Happy days! The football season has begun and started in our favour!

Manchester United has recorded its first win of the 5 pre-season games across the Atlantic yesterday in Toronto...

FT SCORE: Man UTD 3-1 Celtics

It has all started off well at Toronto where Man Utd saw Celtics at an exhibition game in Toronto, Canada.

More than half of the players played were from the Youth team inlcuding Cleverly, Macheda, Welbeck, Da Laet.

The game marked the debut for the England U20 Chris Smalling.

Tom Cleverly also featured in this game after being loaned out from Watford.

Not to forget the Frenchman Winger Gabriel Obertan and the Senegal striker Mirame Diuf
Last season's hat-trick hero Mirame Diuf was very sharp against Celtic!

Also, I would like to mention about Darren Gibson, the awesome Irish player.. He really did cause some panic for the Celtic Goalie with his high energy long range shots. Pretty impressive and powerful as always the big man!

Match Review:

The game was perfectly in the balance with both sides coming up with attacks equally. Just as we thought Celtic had begun to have an upper hand on the game, Dimitar Berbatov scored a brilliant goal with a lovely assist from Diuf, the fresh Senegal striker.

Chris Smalling did a ridiculous mistake in the 2nd half to have fouled the Celtic striker to earn the Bhoys a kick from the penalty spot.

1-1, all panicing now except for the red devils who played very cool-ly!

Berbatov set up Danny Welbeck for an easy yet a lucky diving tap into the goal.. 2-1.. things look much more relaxed.. Berbatov is feeling confident and playing some fine football.

Next up we have the talented Tom Cleverly strike a goal from a deflection off the Celtic defender. But you gotta put your hats off the Dimitar Berbatov who was constantly giving good service to others after having scored a wonderful goal in the 1st half.

In the first half we had Ryan Giggs who was constantly being cheered and Paul Scholes really uplifting the game. Giggs was excellent on the wings while Scholes played lovely football by giving long passes - the way he does it! It all seems magical when Paul scholes hits a long shot, you can close your eyes and yet be confident the ball landed in a very much goal scoring situation. On one of the occasions, Obertan really did a good job dribbling through the wings and nearly scored on one occasion. You gotta put your hats off to the "Old Guard"

Fletcher was constantly on the run, winning possession for the Reds. Making essential tackles and showing great promise!

In a nutshell, all the players were desperate to start in the starting XI against Chelsea in the upcoming Community Shield in August.

Player Ratings:

Edwin Van Der Sar - 8 - did good things perfectly, saved one or two shots but had nothing much to do in the game

Chris Smalling - 6 - had a decent game but cost United a penalty, a stoooopid one!

Johny Evans - 8 - looked like a leader

Rafael - 7

Da Laet - 6

Fabio - 7

O Shea - 6

Cleverly - 8 - Awesome control of the ball, this guy seems to have learnt a lot from Watford!

Welbeck - 7 - Good dribbling abilities and scored an easy goal

Macheda - 7 - Decent overall, really should have scored

Diuf - 7 - had an amazing day, provided a great assisted to Dimi

Fletcher - 7 - an Amazing leader. did everything alright.

Scholes - 7 - lovely lovely player

Giggs - 6 - Did OK overall, lacked the attacking display

BERBA - the main man - 9 - 1 goal, 2 assists, what else do you really need? this guy seems to have geared up for the next season and silences all his critics! the boy seems ready to pump it up.

Danny Welbeck moves to Preston on a loan till the end of the season

Danny Welbeck has made a shocking move to Preston on a loan deal between Manchester United and Preston.

Sir Alex with his young son who is the current manager of Preston North End

This move will certainly be a talking topic as Preston is managed by Darren Ferguson (Son of Sir Alex Ferguson) and his Dad gave away such a wonderful striker to his own son till the end of the season.

Preston, who are currently 17th in the Championship and 6 points ahead of relegation zone, do need some good attackers to move up some places. To make this happen, Darren has used quite a nice technique and demanding a good Manchester born striker from his very own Dad! Sir Alex also has agreed in lending off Danny for this season at least.

This is Darren's first signing as a manager of Preston and it has been quite an easy one in fact. Welbeck who has scored 5 goals for Manchester United in 24 appearances has been remarked as quite a good winger as well as an attacking striker.

Danny has featured a lot in the Carling Cup games this season and scored 1 goal already. He has even scored in the Champions League against Besiktas. He's the man to watch in the future. Please note that Danny has already signed a 4 year contract with United and hence committed to the club. He just needs some regular games under his belt.

Another popular Man United associated signing that Preston did was of David Beckham. Yes! Even David Beckham was on loan for a while at Preston in the year 1995. He scored 2 goals there in 5 appearances at that time before moving back to United in 1996-97 season. During the 10 years he spent with United, 1993-2003 , he scored 62 goals in 265 appearances. I can say without any doubt that even the man himself regrets moving to Real Madrid when he failed to find the back of the net and hence forced to move to America.. Look at him now, he's enjoying a lucrative and goal-less life in A.C. Milan!

David Beckham was on a loan at Preston North End in the year 1995 after joining United in 1993

Will be fun to see Beckham at Old Trafford in March.

But back to the Danny Welbeck loan signing, I think its a good move for both the parties. Apart from strengthening he bond between the father and the son, this move will greatly benefit Preston and Welbeck. Welbeck, at this stage of his career needs some regular games and be treated as a main striker. I don't think he would mind if its a Championship side. He can assist Preston with some handy goals in the 2nd half of the season and really strengthen their squad to take them to some new heights that Preston hasn't reached for quite a while now.

And then when Welbeck returns to Manchester United in 2010 summer, hopefully his class would be on another level and he would perhaps be respected as an all new and powerful striker.

That's what Premier League is all about!

Thanks for reading... Catchya guys before the Man City build up. Hope we can win that game and proceed to the final of Carling cup to secure at least 1 trophy for this season.
