Thought the score line reads just one goal, United’s youngsters created many chances (around 30) on goal and on various occasions, came agonizingly close to scoring.
Talking to MUTV after the match, Neville said, “They were the key players for us. Ravel deserved his goal. It was a great bit of a skill to create space for a fantastic finish. You don’t save those ones just under the bar. It deserved to win the match.”
Paul Pogba, the French holding midfielder who has already scored Scholsey like goals in his short career scored an absolute screamer for the reserves against Portsmouth some time back and is already looking set to have a long career at Old Trafford.
Ryan Tunnicliffe, the local lad is a genuine old school midfielder who controls the game with his passing ability. A versatile midfielder who has already drawn comparisons with the likes of Roy Keane and Steven Gerrard was handed a new three-year contract earlier this year.
Ravel Morrison, the spoilt brat with exceptional talent is yet another local lad. A pacy winger known for his express pace, Morrison has been in some troubles with the law. Technically gifted, Morrison has already made a senior appearance for the club, coming on a substitute for Ji Sung Park against Wolves in a League Cup tie.
