A game United desperately needs to win

Super Sunday Game week 7 presents four stellar games, one of which obviously is Manchester United vs Everton kicking off at 1100 GMT.

Sunday, 05/10/2014, presents a VERY crucial opportunity for United. This is probably one of those great moments the club needs to seize in order to secure a potential top 6 position in the league table. The great Manchester club needs to win for the pride and honour, now. It's certainly a game that will help the Old Trafford faithful to forget the ghosts of last years double defeats vs Everton.

Everton has been a very messy affair for United lately and a victory today will extend a much needed advantage. Everton obviously is a club from where United hired a potential Sir Alex successor for ONE year. It was an EASY choice but not a great choice, however, as it turned out. But United learned and now they 'shall try their best' to beat Everton for the first time since February 2013. Here's hoping the new Manchester United no. 7 Angel di Maria (talismanic Argentine) does justice to his shirt number.

United Chief Ed Woodward returns to Manchester; sparks transfer rumours

TRDS understands that Manchester United's new Chief Executive Ed Woodward is making his way back to Manchester in order to complete some urgent transfer business. What could this mean for the future of Manchester United?

In this blogpost, we present three possibilities which could have encouraged David Gill’s replacement to make an emergency halt to the 2013-14 Manchester United pre-season tour.

TRDS predicts a David Moyes-Marouane Fellaini re-union at OT
         1. Marouane Fellaini
We rate the likelihood of Fellaini’s transfer negotiations to be the highest. The Belgian recently suggested that if given a choice between Arsenal and Manchester United, he would undoubtedly like to join the Red Devils where he would be re-united with his ex-boss David Moyes.  We recently blogged about why Marouane’s case will be a good fit at Old Trafford (Fellaini’s post). Fellaini has a £23.5M release clause in his contract at Everton and Manchester United should easily be able to splash the cash.

The fact Fellaini already owns a house in Manchester further convinces us that he will be playing for Manchester United next season.

2.      Cesc Fabregas
Fabregas to return to Arsenal?
Manchester United recently submitted a bid of around £26M for the ex Gunner Cesc Fabregas which was soon rejected by Barcelona. It is not surprising that Fabregas feels frustrated at his club, Barcelona, due to the fierce competition he faces to feature in the starting XI. Joining Manchester United will be a right step for his career progression with the World Cup 2014 just around the corner. If Cesc can perform well at United next season, he will certainly feature for Spain in the World Cup. This might be a huge incentive for Fabregas, but then Arsenal seems interested in buying back Cesc Fabregas.

We believe Cesc will join Arsenal and the odds of his transfer to United are low.

3.      Wayne Rooney
TRDS expects Wayne Rooney to apologise again and stay at Old Trafford.
We rate the transfer possibility of the wantaway England striker, Wayne Rooney, to be the lowest. Manchester United today officially rejected Chelsea’s £20m transfer bid for Wayne (source). Wayne is also reluctant to move abroad. Hence, TRDS predicts that Rooney will stay at United for another year. He will simply not be allowed by the club to leave.

All in all, TRDS believes that Ed Woodward’s eratic return to Manchester United signals the signing of a player and we predict that it is of Marouane Fellaini, the ominous Beligian midfielder.

Stay tuned for the updates!

The curious case of Marouane Fellaini and why he deserves to play for ManUtd

Marouane may be an answer to United's recent midfield woes!

People are questioning the prospect of Fellaini’s transfer to Manchester United.

This is because there is a strong concern that the young Belgian has no experience in Europe and also his makeshift striker role at his previous club, Everton. He's a Belgian international and it is a huge bonus that Belgium is one of the strongest young sides in Europe at the moment. So acquiring a player of Fellaini's ability is a great prospect.

Manchester United didn't have many problems in the attacking department last year. Talented players like Van Persie, Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez created chances and scored some lively goals. However, United’s midfield trouble was exposed by teams like Real Madrid and Chelsea. This led to their dismal performance through the middle and rendered them unconvincing at times.

Fellaini compared with other midfielders*

Marouane Fellaini is exactly the sort of player Manchester United needs right now given his promising background. He may have zero experience in the Champions League, however his talent would be a good acquisition allowing him to nurture under Moyes.

As for Kagawa, he's not really a midfielder United needs as he's too lightweight to play upfront for the time being. It is OK when he's playing against the likes of Norwich and other relatively weak times but a more aggressive side can make him suffer. That is precisely why Fergie preferred playing him on the left flank. This made it a little difficult to mark him and gave him more freedom to use his undoubted dribbling ability.

Shinji Kagawa deserves some more time at United without a doubt. It’s all about adaptation for the young player and he can do it. Till the time Kagawa becomes a real threat in the midfield area, he may be played in different positions or even allowed to choose his own area of expertise. After all, that's not asking a player to perform out of position – it is utilising a player’s strengths for the benefit of the esteemed football club.

Having said all that, there is no reason why Fellaini’s acquisition will help Moyes and Manchester United to go on and win the 21st Premier league title. It would be nice to see him perform well with the likes of Michael Carrick, Anderson and Tom Cleverley.

Mr. Fellaini,  IT'S YOUR CHOICE AFTER ALL!

Vidic scores the second goal for United

Berbatov makes it 3-1, his 4th goal of the season so far!

One would have thought, United has won the game with an emphatic score of 3-1 at the end of 90 minutes. But no, with Everton involved anything is possible. Everton came from back and scored two delightful goals (pinching from United perpective) from headers by Aussi Tim Cahill and Arteta..

Pienar scored the first goal for Everton 39 minutes after KO. It only took 4 minutes for Fletcher to equalise from a lovely cross by Nani. Vidic then doubled the lead by scoring from a header 2 minutes in the second half. Scholes produced a lovely ball to Dimitar Berbatov who made it 3-1..
The game wasn't over yet.

Everton came from behind and scored two lovely goals to make it 3-3.

David Moyes was fuming at the referee once he blew the whistle at the 93rd minute. He had a valid point, it should have been more extra time as two goals had been scored after 90 minutes.

Anyhow, poor away form continues for United who drew at Fulham in a similar manner. Last minute goals have been a big omen for United away from home so far this.

Ferdinand to start at Goodison Park

Rio Ferdinand all set to play his first game at Everton on 11/09/2010

Rio Ferdinand's omission from Manchester United's reserves has hinted at a first team return this weekend against Everton. Ferdinand, 31, has been ruled out of Sir Alex Ferguson'splans after injuring knee ligaments before World Cup 2010.

His first taste of action came before the international break after he started for the second string against Stockport County.

The Three Lions skipper is believed to have come through that test unscathed and is set to be reunited with Nemanja Vidic at Goodison Park.

Fellow long-term absentees Anderson and Wes Brown were picked for the clash against Stockport County on Thursday night as they continue their recoveries.

United must win every Premier League game to stay in the contest!

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson believes his side must win every game if they are to dethrone Chelsea at the top of the Premier League.

The Red Devils' gaffer also had a kind word for Darren Fletcher, who put in a good performance that was capped with a spectacular goal in a 3-0 win against Everton on Saturday.

"We have to look at all the games as must-win now," Ferguson is quoted in
The Sun as saying.

"We need to get on a run and be somewhere near the top of the league by New Year's Day. Then, in the second half of the season we can have a real go and give ourselves a chance."

Fletcher has been gaining plaudits for his stellar performances in recent weeks, and the Scot echoed a similar sentiment.

He added, "Darren is an improving player.

"Each year we have seen his performance level go up and up and it is still doing so.

"But I have to admit I did not expect that goal [against Everton]. It was really well taken."
